Technical requirements

To ensure you get the best experience from the game, you should consider the following technical requirements.

Keyboard

Some puzzles require the use of a keyboard instead of a mouse, so it’s recommended to play on desktop. Theoretically, it is possible to play on an Android smartphone, but not on an iPhone.

Use the Tab key to jump to the next control. Use Shift+Tab to jump to the previous control.

Screen Reader

For some puzzles, you will need a screen reader such as NVDA (Windows) or VoiceOver (Mac). Download it and familiarize yourself with the basic usage.

NVDA Instructions

Use the keyboard to operate the screen reader. The arrow keys and the Tab key are especially important for beginners.

Please keep in mind that people who use a screen reader every day use it very differently than you will here.

Are you ready?

Are you ready to make the world a better place? Find a way to the next page. Sometimes you have to discover the path yourself, as it’s not always obvious what to do.

Once you’ve tried using a keyboard and screen reader, you are ready to get started.

Accessiblity

This game intentionally incorporates barriers, but not in the way you’d expect. The gameplay is based on barriers.

Can I play the Game?

Visually Impaired

If you use a screen reader in your daily life, you can technically play the game, but most of the puzzles will no longer be puzzles for you. Using a screen reader is often the solution.

Hearing Impaired

A screen reader is required. You can use NVDA to display the text so you can play the entire game.

Mobility

As long as you can use a keyboard or an assistive technology that functions like a keyboard, you can play the game. But some puzzles will no longer be puzzles.

Psst… du hast ein weiteres Easter Egg gefunden: “ändert”

Did you know that cookie banners are often not keyboard-operable? The focus often doesn’t reach the cookie banner, so screen reader users aren’t even aware that the banner is there. Eventually, they get stuck and don’t know why.
